I picked the apricots. I washed the apricots. I canned the apricots. Now, I will eat the apricots (jam) all by myself. Not really. I did have help, and I certainly wany help eating it.

Didn't get this posted earlier, but everyone must see what great family support we had for Hyrum's baptism. These are aunts and uncles and grandparents from both sides. We are so blessed.

Hot Shots at Recapture

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson came for a few hours, boated, gave the kids encouragement....

and Grandpa held the rope for the "Hot Shot Trainer" skiiers.

Zach and I on the "Airhead". I was screaming/laughing my guts out.

After much coaxing (and Hyrum doing it first), Eli got up and got attitude.

Still got it....I mean I still have post skiing muscle soreness.

Hyrum was the first to try the "Hot Shot" ski out and the first to get up. Love this picture with his big brother behind him helping him.

Hyrum's Lunt cousins
We are so proud of our boy. He was so excited for this day. He planned the entire baptism, including bearing his testimony. He was thrilled to have so many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents from both sides there. (Will post more pictures later)

The BOLT

Hyrum was First Place, the Champion, the Big Cheese at his first Pinewood Derby. You Can see he was quite pleased, but not nearly as pleased as was his dad. Never have I seen Scott so obsessed about anything. Well...except for "The Price is Right" or tractor trading. I must say, Hyrum winning brought me much joy, as well.

We headed to Cortez for Hyrum's 7th b-day. He wanted to go to "Fiesta Mexicana" where he had a bean and rice burrito, but his friends (and Eli) all had chicken fingers. Hyrum loved all the attention, but when the waiters sang to him and put whipped cream on his nose, you would have thought he had been betrayed by all those he most trusted.

Oh, how I enjoy these two girls, Nancy and Sidney. They've been buddies since birth since they're only 2 weeks apart. They're really different from eachother, but it seems to work.

Okay, this has been the funniest (to me) and most annoying (to his brothers and sister) obsession Hyrum has had yet. He picked up the "Jr. Park Ranger" badge at the county fair and has taken this very seriously. He frequently lists his responsibilities out loud to whomever will hear. He also requests that any willing person go on a "Jr. Park Ranger" hike with him. Of course, if you're going to hike with him, you must be willing to let him lead so that he can protect people from the animals. He's so responsible.

Eli Hits a Home Run!

No, this was not the hit that produced the home run where 3 runs were scored. In fact, this photo had to be edited, if you know what I mean. But, the hit was beautiful and made this way past her prime mom very, very pleased. It went way over centerfield's head....well, a little over anyway.:-)

Okay, so sorry about the picture duplicate. Apparently, I need "blogging for dummies". (Like it isn't easy enough).
Let's see...
We're full swing into T-ball and baseball. I'm coaching Hyrum's team; mostly so I can control when the practices are. Next week are his last 2 practices and games. With yesterday's win, Eli's team will be going to "State". I was beginning to think I wasn't going to be able to come up with a sufficient reason to go to Salt Lake this summer--you know, gas prices & all.
I spent last week at Girl's Camp, and for the 3rd year in a row, I had a blast. Hard to believe since I had such bitterness in my soul since my own Girl's Camp Days. I'm sure my offspring would completely die of embarrassment had they witnessed my antics, to say nothing of Scott. He can't even watch me karaoke.
